Greetings all - just wondering if anyone has had any luck finding this so far today - I've been checking itunes but it doesn't seem to be available yet.
Great show at World Cafe in Philly last Sat. Setlist was heavy on songs from Regret Over the Wires - especially the wandering encore. |

i loved the seemless transition into all I want is you at the world cafe.
It came out of nowhere and was beautiful.
Love hearing ME and My Lover and the audiences participation on Could Have Been Worse was beautiful. I also Loved the GUILTY! I wish people would post set lists of his shows. I want to know what he is playing.
Has he played 3 of October?
I must love leaving, babybird?????
I am also a big fan of the roaming encore however I wish we could either roam with him or attach a microphone to him so we could hear the over yander songs.
I love the intimacy of this playing.
I was introduced to Matthew that way.
he played right at my table at my first ever show.
WOW!!!what an introduction.
I imagine those days won't last forever so enjoy it!
One day I expect he will explode.
as I just recently discovered him I imagine many others will.....I had trouble downloading Some Streets lead nowhere...can't get enough of his music! |

how did you find the new tune?
I can't find it?
I think there was a good deal of tunes from East Autumn Grin as well. (world cafe)
I just got that album, and I am enjoying it ALOT! |

Open up iTunes, and the iTunes store on your computer, then try clicking on this link:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=290309808&s=143441
It should bring you to the song. Other than that, you can search for Matthew Ryan, and then "see all songs by this artist"
Good luck! (I'm not sure why it's not linked on any of his pages yet...) |

a link is now on the "music" page. Also, check out the media page for the making of the score for the upcoming September 15th episode of "one tree hill". sorry for the delay.

Hey, thanks, Tony! That video is awesome--I guess I will be watching One Tree Hill for the first time, ever, on Monday night!
(watch out Grey's Anatomy! ) |

Barbara,
To answer your question...I can confirm that he does play Babybird as he played it at a show I was at this year. The others off EAG, I'm sure he's played before but I've never been at a show he's played them. "Skylight" is the song I was to see live...(that and "Happy Hour", which I do think I've seen but it was when I was first intro'd to his music opening for Lucinda and I didn't fully appreciate it) he plays it live, but never been lucky enough to be in the crowd.

thanks Tony!
I saw him for the first time in May and I dove right into his music. I am as submerged as I possibly could be right now. I just take one album at a time and I am on East Autumn Grin and moving toward Concussion.
I am overwhelmed with great poetry and fabulous music!
so keep us posted on what he's playing. I love to know and I bet there are lots of us who would.
cheers

Or if someone can send it to me, I`ll post my e-mail...
Thanks |

Barbara--you sound like me, although I have yet to see Matthew Ryan live. I found him in a sort of random way, but once I started listening, I couldn't stop! I swear it has all the hallmarks of an addiction! Still, I have found nothing I like better than a Mayday/MRVSS combination. His is a mesmerizing talent! |

Well Said! I think I may have a bit of an obsession occurring right now.
Where do you live? I am sure with a little persuasion you could encourage them to come your way. I guess the key is to just keep spreading the music around so there is enough of a demand.
I am curious about your choice of name....cc rider. |

besides seeing him live is completely different because it can be so personal when he comes and stand at your table singing the song of your choice. He is pretty good to his fans..... |
